Lidl dvd player and card reader

From tomorrow (monday 14th march) Lidl are selling a dvd player and card reader for £49.99.Anyone any thoughts if its a good buy or not.

I wonder if it will play divx from flash card? You could fit a whole film on a 1GB card.

I prefer my Starlogic one for £25 incl delivery from Amazon! It is multi-region although doesn't take memory cards and only has a 1 year guarantee.

thanks for that - unfortunately I'm no clearer as to whether its multi region or not as I haven't a clue what I'm lloking for

its made a little clearer to me. so my guess is that it maybe a multi region player as it can be played in pal and ntsc.

Surely, it doesn't matter whether it's multi region or not, put the right code in and it will unlock it. I've done this both with my son's portable DVD player and the normal DVD player. It took less than 10 minutes to find the code on the internet and then switch on the players and enter the code - job done both players region free.
