Another good offer is this one from Eurotunnel.

Just £19 return for a car and up to 8 passengers mon-thurs. Put another tenner on for travel fri-sun. Only bookable online till July 14th.

Cheap enough for a money saving booze/cigs trip. The huge CiteEurope shopping complex is 5 minutes away from the tunnel exit.

Its worth the trip into Belgium to get your fags/tobacco... much, much cheaper than France. Its just under an hour to get to Addinkerke

    Below are some price examples.

Liverbird, thanks for the link. Already gone to that site following the link in your first post! Last time I went to France, back in February, we drove over to Brugge (daytrip!) and stocked up on the Belgian border. We bought from the counter for French shoppers, as opposed to the English counter, as the fags were cheaper! If you're not fussed about getting fag brands that are sold in Britain, you can get some cheaper, yet similar quality fags from the other counter. (Yes, you have to pay in euros, then. I paid using my Nationwide CC, so got a great exchange rate.)

We're going to use our trip to France to drive over to see my other half's folks in North West Germany.

Even better with bed and breakfast for 3 people at £14/night each with https://www.hotel-bb.com (a work colleague uses these every year as stop-offs going down to the south - he says they can't be beaten on VFM). Check out the breakfasts shown on the web site!

We're (3 adults) thinking of going at Spring Bank for 4 days...
    Ferry crossing...............£ 38
    3 nights B&B.................£128
    RAC euro upgrade..........£ 24
    Total...........................£190

Try having 4 days in London for that money!!
