[CLOSED] Gran Turismo 4 for 99p from GAME with 4 trade-Ins!!

At Game instore.

Take in any 4 games from Ps2/GBA/XBox/GC and swap them for a chart game for only 99p

They wont let you trade in football or wrestling games

Quick Note: I would steer clear of the Surrey Quays Store as the manager in there often picks faults and will try and wriggle out of it. Ive taken in games to be told 'we won't accept them' and no reason given, yet I go to another store and they trade them in no problem.

Insert By Martin

The clever thing about this proposition is you can simply go and buy cheap old games elsewhere (see below in the thread for examples) and then use them as trade ins for the new games. Thus getting them a lot cheaper for a much smaller outlay.

Or.....you could pop along to MVC who'll take anything in decent condition, and that scans onto their system. I shall be doing this with 4 pants games for Gran Turismo 4 tomorrow. Already done it for Metal Gear Solid 3 :)

Below are some sugestions for sourcing Cheap games for the trade-in offer. Even if you bought 4 games at £5 each (£20) you could get a new game for £20.99! (But of cause the cheaper the game, the better).

If the offer is limited to one per Customer (one per customer, per store ;) ), there is a store cheker here: http://shop.game.net/help/storefinder.aspx . Some Place like Sheffiled have 4!

    In-store
Game - Sometimes have some cheap pre-owned games.
Gamestation (Blockbuster) - IMO this is the beast place to pick up cheap pre-owned (£2.99) games (Some Blockbusters have Gamestations inside).
MVC - clearance lines (especially Gamecube) or Pre-owned games.
ToysRus - Usually have lots of £4.99 Games
CEX/Cash Converters/Cash Generators etc - You might be able to find some cheap games here.

    Online
https://www.gamestation.co.uk - Lots Of Cheap Games but not very easy finding them.
https://www.game.net - Possibly some Cheap games here.
    https://www.mvc.co.uk (or https://www.streetsonline.co.uk) - Colin McRae Rally 3 - £3.99 (PS2) Others?
https://www.thatzdvd.com - Cheap Games DVD's & you can trade in your stuff here as well.
    https://www.toysrus.co.uk - has £4.99 games but P&P is about £4.
https://www.tesco.com/extra - Has a few sub £5 games in Sale

In the past I have purchased their pre-owned games and traded those in. The one I went to at lunchtime had a fair few at 4.97 each, buy one get 2nd half price, so I got 6 for £22.50. And they have GT4 in stock and included in the offer.

Can you do this? I was told they wouldn't except their own games back in again. Maybe i should try taking the pre owned stickers off!

From tomorrow, GAME are offering Gran Turismo 4, Project Snowblind or 2 others (can't remember which ones) for 99p each if you trade in four PS2, Gamecube or XBOX games. (Just excludes wrestling or Football games)

When you consider that you can get many pre-owned games in Game itself for £6 each, this means the above would cost a max of £25.

You should be able to find pre-owned games in other shops for around £4 or £5, so should be able to get these GT4 etc for around £20 !!!
    :D

Not sure how long the offer is on for....

I planned ahead a little on this, and have purchased some dirt cheap ams of eBay. 8 games for £16. That's two chart games, at £8 each :) (if you go to MVC)

Was Metal Gear Solid 3 one of them?
