I've just switched from Powergen to EBiCo http://www.ebico.co.uk/
I've had no problems switching over, but yet to see how they do. Worth a try, it's easy to switch to another if you're not satisfied (or until they put prices up)!0 -
When you sign up with them that's the end of their involvement with you.
They pass you on to Southern who supply the energy and bill you - but all at Ebico's low prices.
Don't know why all Southern customers don't just switch to Ebico and save some money.0 -
I have been with them 7 months, gas and leccy, no problems just signed up on their site and they did the rest.
BG were naughty though supplying inflated estimated final bills, but savings around 25% for moi.
AFAIK they have only increased prices one time in nearly 3 yrs. They give best savings for people who like the old quarterly cash/cheque payments and especially for low useage, but are cheaper for all users, not having any form of standing charge, so easy to calculate bills too. Billed through Southern Electric.
Not all comparison sites list Ebico, I used Energyline for my comparisons, link in resouces bar above ( helps MSE too).

I've been with them for 18 months or so. No problems whatsoever. Cheapest option for lower usage customers but a great price for moderate users too in many cases.
On comparison websites like uswitch.com check NO to providers I can switch to online then you will probably see Ebico in the results.0 -
I signed up with Ebico one month ago. I received confirmation on a postcard around Christmas, and apart from two begging letters from my current supplier NPower, informing me of the switch and asking me to stay, nothing else from Ebico.
I know that the process must be in motion because of the letters from NPower. But how long does it usually take to switch? The website said about two weeks. Although there was Christmas in between, it's been one month.0 -

realisticly it takes 6 weeks to switch0 -
I've been with Ebico for the past two and a half years - no problems and a simple straight forward price. After Powergen making a right mess of monthly direct debit schemes and massive credit building up, it was a nice change to receive a quarterly bill for what I'd actually used. I'm also able to pay my bill in cash at my local paypoint agent without being charged further.0

They seem to be a good supplier and I think i will take the plunge but can you pay by direct debit monthly0

This seems to be fairly normal for switchs to Ebico. My switch took about 4 to 5 weeks but after the initial postcard, there was nothing until the actual switch.0
