E: 1/2 Win Digital Camera and Thank You for Smoking DVD (merged)

Meet Nick Naylor, a morally reprehensible, ferociously smart, egotistical charmer. As Vice President of the Academy of Tobacco Studies, Naylor has a rare, elastic morality that comes in very useful when convincing the world of the virtues of smoking. Admired by his impressionable son, Joey, who thinks of him as a “sultan of spin”, Nick refers to himself as a “lobbyist” and frequently steps into the public arena to argue the cause of the tobacco industry.
Nick regularly compares notes with other members of the self-styled MOD Squad (Merchants of Death) - alcohol lobbyist Polly, and firearms lobbyist Bobby Jay. Together they verbally skewer the do-gooders, including Vermont environmentalist Ortolan Finistirre, who would love to see their demise. Despite revelling in this company, Nick does feel the pressure of being a role-model to his prematurely smart son and suffers the fiery disdain of ex-wife Jill. Always looking for new avenues to improve the image of cigarettes, Naylor decides to tackle Hollywood, and travels to LA to meets up with top agent Jeff Megall. Together they attempt to make smoking look cool once again, and suggest that they should get A-list celebrities like Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones to light-up on-screen…

Special features on the DVD include commentary by Director Jason Reitman and actors Aaron Eckhart and David Koechner. A selection of never-before-seen scenes, a “making of” featurette and stills galleries are also included along with much more
