Halifax ISA Saver Direct rate increased to 5.25%

Halifax have increased the rate on their ISA Saver Direct from 5.00% to 5.25%, effective from (1st December 2006).
The new rate will be uploaded to the Halifax website shortly, here.
The new rate will also be added to the Halifax ISA Saver Direct webpage.

Is this the best instant access on the market then? My ISA's with A&L (Direct issue 1) @ 5% but I heard that it won't be increased at all because A&L think another base rate rise will happen early next year.0

Kent Reliance BS offer a mini cash ISA paying 5.46%. They increased the rate by the full 0.25% following the November base rate increase to 5.00%. They also allow transfers.
Savers who haven't used their cash ISA allowance for this tax year, can apply for the NS&I mini cash ISA. It pays 5.55% and guarantees to pay BOE base rate + 0.55% until April 2008.Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -

I think 3.85% is about average for a "traditional style savings" isa. Certainly not market leading0
