Is this for your new house as you really need to make sure you have sufficient room as they can be very big.0

Shop around since I found that prices for this cocker can vary greatly... smaller retailers are more willing to match the best price..FREEDOM IS NOT FREE0 -
Hi, Jo! I have a Rayburn, and wouldn't be without it! Is this what you're meaning by a range? It keeps the kitchen very snug.
It's great for long slow cooking - casseroles, pasta sauce, chutney, jam, pulses. I also cook pasta inside as then the condensation goes up the flue, rather than into the kitchen. I also dry cake tins, sterlilise jam jars, and DH is investigating incubating hatching eggs!!

My dream is to have an aga. But for modern range cookers, i would say the best are rangemaster or a belling, due to build quality and materials.
I like the ones with two ovens as the ones with one oven are expensive to heat just when cooking day to day food, you just dont need that amount of space.
Good things to look ou for are seperate grill, the rangemaster has a brill bit on the door so that you can have a roasting tray there, and baste joints without having to pull the shelf out.
A griddle on top and wok bit (iykwim)
I personally like duel fuel, gas on top, fan oven.Pawpurrs x0 -
I've got a belling: 2 ovens, 8 burners and a hotplate which can go on top. It is gas and the quality is good, top is brilliant. However, I wish I had gone for one with a fan oven - the oven seems a bit long-winded.0

I have a Lofra, it looks great and I did a lot of research before we bought it, the problem is the grill is pants and the second oven isn't much use as it's electric and tiny. I like the burners, the Wok burner is great for stir fry. I wouldn't buy another though, when it dies I will replace it with a cooker with a seperate grill.0
