I bought my BM from Asda and it's great
I make lot's of loaves and they taste lovely but I'd like to experiment more with it
has anyone else got one?
if so what recipes have you tried in it?
tried some from a MR BM owner but they didn't turn out well

I had to think what a BM was. My daughter suffers from bowel problems and I keep thinking bowel movement.
I've figured out it's a breadmaker.0 -

What went wrong with them, Glad? It may be a case of a tweak here and there and they'll be fine.
Even with the same brand of machine, each machine can produce varying results and part of that can be down to something very basic such as, where you place your machine and the temperature of the room.
If you want to experiment with your own recipes then the way I started was simply to take the basic white loaf from the recipe leaflet which came with the machine, which I knew to be a reliable one, and then play by adding a bit of this and a bit of that. For example, with a basic white loaf, I threw in a handful of sultana's and added a tsp of spice - very nice. Next I used some 'onion crispies' that were lurking in the cupboard and some rosemary. Nice savoury loaf. With a basic 'half n half' loaf (white and wholemeal) I would throw in some sunflower seeds and sultana's and still get good result.

Depends on the extra's she wants to throw in.
If I want to add a herb or a spice, I put it in with the flour and stuff at the beginning; if I decide to add some dried fruits/nuts/seeds/cheese/chopped meats/finely chopped veggies, I put it in when the beep .. er .. beeps!
Some are more successful than others, but none are wasted; even those where they've risen too mucn and the top collapses get used (slice off the bumpy top and continue to cut slices from that end  ). If it fails to rise and we end up with a bread brick, [STRIKE]I add it to the other one's I've put buy for my "build your own granny flat" [/STRIKE].. I use it to make bread pudding
Alternatively, I do hire out my services, for a small fee, and would "Glad"ly give real time demo's :rotfl:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I made a Cheese and Onion loaf yesterday and I wanted a cheesy top and the manual said to place the cheese on after the second beep, but I got nervous about when to place it on, because it said to do it before the second rise otherwise you will end up with a burnt base!Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

Crikey, how many beeps do your machines have???
I don't have an automatic nut/raisin dispenser, so, my machine (which is a version of Durabrand .. except it has an unpronouncable name) first is mixes for a few minutes, then it 'rests' to get on with it's first rising; it then begins it's 2nd mixing and that is when it beeps and I put in the extra's - in your case frizz, that would be the cheese - it continues to mix for a bit, then goes into it's 2nd rising. If I want to put a glaze on, I do it after the 2nd mixing then leave it alone to do it's thing.
The only beeps I get after that, are the one's telling me it's ready
Obviously, if you are leaving the machine on timer, you won't be able to do that, but I've still made seed loaves on timer ... it just mushes them up so you don't get nobbly bits in your loaf, but the goodness and benefits are still there~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
