Loads of web-sites with this info.
Here's one0 -
For food i would recommend Circus Circus as their bufets are fantastic. but to be honest all the hotels on the strip are good. I stayed at Harahs and the Monte Carlo hotels boith were brilliant but as I said for food and if you have young children i would recommend Circus Circus as they also have a mini funfair as well.Competitions wins 2010

If you want classy The Bellagio is the best, the Venetian is also nice as is the Mandalay Bay (although a long way down the strip). We like the MGM Grand as well.0

It really does depend on your budget as prices very ALOT! Try lasvegas.com you will get lots of info on there.
I am currently researching myself as we are going again in Jan/Feb..
You will have a fab time!

MGM Grand - loved the pool. Take your own ringo though.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0

Surely any (live) Beatle will do:rotfl:0 -
THE BEST is probably the Wynn if you want the most expensive money can buy. ( there is no limit to how much a stay could cost you if you are rich enough) although the Bellagio runs it a very close second ( they are both the creations of the same man of course). they both ooze exclusivity and luxury for the well to do guests.
that said the staff at the Bellagio are unfailing polite and helpful to anyone who is there ( provided they are not children of course). but things in the shops look pricey for what they are
at the Wynn you are aware you are not seeing the hotel's whole hand so to speak. there are layers and layers of exclusivity. walking through the door you are probably seeing only three of the five cards the hotel has to offer. staying as a guest gets you a peek of the 4th but you need to be seriously well to do to see the whole hand . it even has a Ferrari show room should you feel the need to splash out !!!!!!!
having been in all of them (visted not stayed so check out rooms to suite your needs) this is my pecking order.
super classy
1. Wynn
2. Bellagio
3. THE HOTEL at manadlay bay
4. Venetian
classy
4 way tie for 5th of
Caesars palace
New York New York
Mirage
Mandalay bay
6. 3 way tie of
MGM grand
Paris
Treasure island
7. Monte carlo
8. Rio ( very very nice but not on the strip so a bit cheaper if you want your money to futher in the luxury department)
THE ONES TO DEFINATLY AVOID IMO ( tacky , outdated and not the experiance of the above)
Luxor
Excalibur
Circus Circus
Alladin ( although they were in the process of refurbing this when we were there)
i highley recommend the Rough Guide Las Vegas edition for reading before you go and to fine tune your choice to your needs.
We stopped in New York New York and loved every second( Rough guide travel guide comes up trumps again !!). next year it will be either Mandalay bay or Mirage for us
or Bellagio if i have a windfall of cash i doubt i will ever be rich enough to get the full Wynn experiance( the place needs a turnover of $17 Million A DAY !!!!! just to break even i was very reliably informed):T :beer:Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
I am not going to add any comments on which is the best as that has been covered on here and all the other sites mentioned.
I just wanted to add that if you stay in an expensive hotel (relative to Vegas) then it follows that buffets etc are more expensive as well, and the limits on the tables are higher etc etc. I know you can go to other hotels to eat but if you havent got a car then dont forget how far they are apart ( they look much closer together than they are)
I have stayed at the Mandalay Bay and the pool there is one of if not the best in town....real sand and waves.
I cant agree with Circus Circus being the best buffet though. The hotel is looking its age and feels a bit dirty, the buffet is cheap for a reason and it looks like a transport cafe.0 -
I just came back from Las Vegas a few days ago and I stayed at the Signature MGM. I had a suite on the 33rd floor for 10 days and it was fabulous. Wouldn't hesitate to go back there. The MGM Signature is linked to the MGM Grand via a moving walkway - but I think the Signature is the better hotel. Personally, I didn't want a hotel with a casino in the lobby as it takes ages and ages to get too and from your room. The Signature is the best of both worlds because the casinos are just a stone's throw away but you can avoid them if you want to.

The Wynn Hotel is stunning and if money were no object I would love to try it out.
I also recommend Maverick Hellicopters for a tour of the Grand Canyon.0 -

Have to disagree there. If you read the vast majority of trip reports or food reports, Circus Circus buffet is to be avoided, although their steak restaurant is one of the best. The hotel/casino is very scruffy compared to nearly all the other major sites IMO.
I would have said the best place to stay is the Barbary Coast simply for its location and price, but since Harrah's has now aquired the site, there is doubt over when it is to close. Some say the first quarter of 2007, which is a big shame.0
