The Garmin i3 (comet: 130pounds, amazon: 129pounds) seems to be fitting the bill. An incredible little machine. Check the forums on https://www.pocketgpsworld.com

    Hope this helps

Another respectable machine with good value. All Sat navs now do door to door routing. This is TomTom entry level (good value) compared to Garmin's i3 value machine. There is very little to choose in between these two units although the TomTom one has a bigger screen, I personally find the Garmin's routing slightly more accurate (uses Navteq mapping as oppsed to TeleAtlas by TomTom) but that could just be the routes I use. Both have excellent reviews and the best thing is probably for you to go to the shop and play with both of them and then decide. As I said I would personally go for the Garmin (especially if you live in Ireland)

  • I recently opted for the Garmin i3, a fantastic little machine for around £120-£130.

I am assumiong that the 5 digit post code may only get you wiithin a couple of miles of your destination - is this not the case? This doesnt sound too good to me.
I am trying to decide between the Navman Pin570 which I understand to be only 5 digit but is PDA also so seems good value and the Garmin i3 - both which can be had for £130 ish or to go for the Tomtom One which is closer to £200.

    Thanks
