Voipcheap.com rates page updated - UK landline still free

Landline - 0.93p
Mobile - 5.57p
0845 - 3.71p
National - 9.28p
Personal 16.70p
EDIT: I got the wrong end of the stick. I should really read the whole website next time. They're still free but after 300min in a 7 day period you get charged 0.93p a minute. It has been like this for some time, they just changed how their rates page is displayed.
Thanks for pointing this out to me.

I think you have got the wrong end of the stick. They still do free calls to numerous destinations including Free UK Landline Calls. See
http://www.voipcheap.com/en/index.html
The 0.93 p rate you quote is if you use up your free minutes to UK Landlines.
"Max 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days. Unused free minutes cannot be taken to the following week(s). If limit is exceeded, a minimal rate will be charged (as advertised on our rates page). "
(Calls to Mobile,0845.National?,and Personal have never been free.)0 -
You are right....and wrong....
VOIPCheap today still seem to offer free UK landline calls... however the other VOIP clone - VOIPSTUNT is charging for every call!
http://www.voipstunt.com/en/rates.html
I have been using VOIPStunt so this is a pain in the neck. I still used the service for paid calls.. icluding calls from my home line so it's not like the company isn't get something back.0 -
Sorry - looks like I may be wrong on this... in the past VOIPSTUNT have displayed their rates as FREE... but now they summarise the free area's and the rate table shows the cost per minute for excess time (over the 300 minute allowance)0

I am not sure how i was wrong anyway as i was talking about Voipcheap, not Voipstunt.0 -
Well only from the point of view that they are basically the same company.0

I hate to disagree, but since I last used VoipCheap at lunchtime, my local calls have been charged at 1p a minute! I know that I haven't passed the limit for the week so had a look at their main page which now has NO destinations free, even though they claim otherwise! The URL for the main page is here
http://www.voipcheap.co.uk/en/index.html
and the tariff list is here
http://www.voipcheap.co.uk/en/rates.html
There are no longer any free destinations or 'Superdeals' - just calls from 1p a minute!
EDIT - The URL on the first post relates to a non-UK site!

There are two seperate sites.
https://www.voipcheap.com (Free Calls)
https://www.voipcheap.co.uk (No Free Calls).0 -
I fail to see the logic in having 2 x sites with the same branding, unless us UK residents are getting stuffed again. I would put money on the VoipCheap.com's rates changing before too long to be on par with its co.uk sister site.
