It's that time of the week again. Here's last week's thread.
Another mixed week for me: spending more or less on target, lunch to work and no-alcohol days still severely lacking.
So, here's next week's. What are yours?
Another mixed week for me: spending more or less on target, lunch to work and no-alcohol days still severely lacking.
- Carry on with spending diary. This week's maximum is £90 for everything.
-- Done (kind of). Kept spending diary, spent £91.42. - * Take lunch to work at least three days.
-- Only managed one (Wednesday), but technically two because I got a free vegetable curry outside the University of London on Monday. - * Aim for at least one no-spend day
-- Done! (Monday) Came close on Tuesday, if it wasn't for the pesky Tesco sandwich. - * Three no-alcohol days
-- Failed miserably. Not a single one. 46 units this week - more than twice the recommended safe intake. - * Claim back ergonomic mouse from company expenses
-- Done. They didn't seem to impressed being asked to pay £25 for something that will potentially save me from being unable to work.
So, here's next week's. What are yours?
- Continue with spending diary. This week's maximum is £100 for everything
- Take lunch to work at least three days
- Aim for at least one no-spend day
- Halve alcohol intake. Strictly no exceeding 21 units.
- Genuinely begin looking for a new flat.

Last weeks...
1) 3 no spend days..umm. No. Not 1.
2) Try & stick to WW - ie reading the manual would help eh!No & decided to give up on it cos I just think of food all the time & eat more! Just going back to eating healthier & excercising.
3) 1 excercise sessionYeah! Swam once!
4) Fill in paperwork from insurance co re crash...pages & pages & pages of it....Yes done & also filed ALL my paperwork which took four hours!!

2) 2 excercise sessions
3) 5 no alch days (did really well on this & slipped after hols & makes me feel really naff so MUST stop again)
4) Stop spending on wants & get back on track. Been slipping a bit...not a major disaster as have 0% for 6 months so CC will be paid off but just aware that have been less frugal than I should be!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hmm, last week was a bit of a disaster for me, some unwanted expenses, and unexpected overdraft charges.
This fortnight (I think in fortnights since I'm payed in fortnights) I hope to break the cycle of overdraft charges.
This week I'm going to nab a friends printer to print off the first letter to the bank.
I'm also going to sort out my utility bills - been trying for over a fortnight to get through to the right people for that - they're always on overflow, or I end up coming through to the wrong branch of nPower - for some reason my billing is being transfered from Midlands to Northern, and they can't deal with my account during the change.
Beyond that, I want to try to last on one shop a week - thats my form of a grocery 'challenge'. Those small extra shops really mount up!DFW Nerd No. 140
