Great Car Hire Prices

I dont know if this has been posted before had a quick look and cant see it. (apologies if it has)
I have just got a fantastic car hire price going through expedia. I have got a standard SUV for 3 weeks in Florida for £265 with Hertz which is almost a £300 saving on the next cheapest price. This includes CDW/LDW/Theft protection unlimited mileage in fact all the usual. It was posted on the DIBB site and has been checked by much more experienced people than me and it seems to be ok.(fingers crossed) :j:j

Excellent price but it looks like super CDW is not included which means you will be liable for the excess0

if you go to the US more than once a year just buy a insurance4carhire policy to cover all the usually optional excesses.0

wow- thats a great tip for saving. Normally I find uk based prices WAY expensive. Just checked it on my rental for 18 days and it comes to £400 as opposed to $2000 for the same period direct.0

Agreed in this specific case as the Hertz price is unbelieveably low (half the next lowest) but for US hire, nearly always the quote from the 3rd party sites (carhire3000, AutoEurope, ....) is the cheapest and include SCDW.Justin_Scotland wrote: »if you go to the US more than once a year just buy a insurance4carhire policy to cover all the usually optional excesses.
I much prefer to not have the hassle of paying the excess and then claim from insurance4carhire if there is no cost benefit.0 -

Definitely includes CDW i have just checked on my printout. really is a good price, only downside is that Hertz are currently offsite of MCO Airport but are hoping to be onsite at end of April which will be good as we dont go till May0 -
CDW is NOT full zero excess cover. For that you need Super collision damage waiver. As an example I just booked a midsize car and the excess is £750.Definitely includes CDW i have just checked on my printout. really is a good price, only downside is that Hertz are currently offsite of MCO Airport but are hoping to be onsite at end of April which will be good as we dont go till May
Collision damage waiver (CDW).
This is the basic cover and it reduces your liability in the event of an accident. Without it, you could be forced to pay for the replacement cost of the vehicle.
Super collision damage waiver (SCDW).
Reduces your liability to zero and covers tyres, roofs and windscreens.
I did forget the word super in my original reply but the excess issue is still correct0 -
Can anybody tell me if this contains SCDW?

I know the price seems steep for 10 day but it says it includes 2 drivers below the age of 25 (me and my partner are both 23). Which is what i want, the expedia one did not include the young driver surcharge so was a great price of £245 but then you have to add on a surcharge of at least $25 per day and $10 per day for an additional driver.0 -
Can anyone help with car hire in Spain? I've tried pretty much every site and search engine there is and the cheapest I can find for 2 weeks is £460 (which I really can't bring myself to pay!) but maybe someone knows of some special offers or voucher codes?0
