Try some washing powder, such as Ariel or any of the others. Put some on a wet sponge and rub the area. I find that this cleans quite well and quickly, and I even use it on tea-stained spoons and teapots.

Afterwards rinse and apply some bleach to kill the mould off.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

have you got any bleach? Thats what I've used before now (well Flash spray with bleach pre MSE), and a 'special' Lakeland spray designed to do the job - main ingrediant chlorine bleaching agents.

I read a tip elsewhere to try getting mould out of shower curtains by rubbing with a bicarb/water paste which might help. Same book is saying use white shoe cream to whiten grouting. Neither of which are probably much use to you but there you go anyway. :)

Have you tried putting some stardrops on, and leaving it for half an hour before wiping off? Could also try washing up liquid!!!!
Must admit, last time i cheated, i bought dettox mould and mildew remover, removed it all first time, and is a lot easier to keep on top of now!!!!

i poured neat bleach on it, and stuck white loo roll on top to hold it, and left it over night. This removed black mould that was really deeply ingrained in the sealant all round the bath!!:j :j

Unfortunately both bleach and Dettox Mould & Mildew Remover, whilst effective in the short term, will eventually rot your sealant and allow water to leak through. Round a bath this might not be such a problem, but we have terrible problems with our shower leaking because of zealous use of Dettox - huge damp patches on dining room & kitchen ceilings
