Goals for week commencing 30 July

Options
Last week: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=231964

Send letter to Halifax checking my student overdraft will last for 12 months now that I've graduated
-- Sent letter, not heard back yet. Will chase up in a week or so.

Open graduate account at Natwest
-- Nope, I went in to ask about it, but they didn't sound that bothered, so I'm looking for a better bank. They lost two online applications I made, have changed the terms to stop you having an account elsewhere, and my branch isn't open on Saturday mornings. My patience? Slim. My account? Not worth the hassle.

Put Egg Money card into credit
-- Done.

Three no-alcohol days
-- Managed two (Monday and Thursday)

Three no-spend days
-- Managed none. But I've started my spending diary, and am horrified to find I've spent £140 in the last seven days (£55 "essentials", £33 drink, £33 dinner/lunch out, £12 non-essential supermarket food, £7 coffee out)

Three take-lunch-to-work days
Managed one (Tuesday)

Keep checking Amazon prices
-- Done, made about £10 on Ebay and £10 on Amazon this week

NEXT WEEK:

Carry on with spending diary, get weekly spending below the £100 mark
Have at least one no-spend day
Have at least two no-alcohol days
Take lunch to work at least three days a week
Claim back company expenses for the new mouse I've bought (I'm showing early signs of RSI and needed a more comfortable mouse for my job)
