Last week: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=228422
I've been thoroughly useless this week.
Three no alcohol days.
--- Only managed two (Sunday and Thursday).
Three no spend days, take lunch to work every day.
--- Failed miserably (not a single day). I'm having trouble with this no-spend day malarkey, and taking pasta to work in 35c heat seemed a bit futile.*
Check Amazon marketplace prices and adjust the stuff I'm selling if they're no longer the cheapest available.
--- One of the few things I've actually done this week. Also sold something on Ebay for £12 and something on Amazon for £4.
Chase up two magazines to whom I pitched articles.
--- One magazine doesn't seem intererested. The other magazine sounds hopeful though. Much needed Christmas money.
Fix up two extra shifts at local paper, chase up the invoice they've owed me for months.
--- Invoice resubmitted, one shift fixed up, let the other one pass because working full-time and then doing 8pm-midnight didn't appeal to me.
Continue the flat hunt.
--- Not really. But I've booked Thursday off (to earn money elsewhere as a freelance), so hope to get Loot nice and early and sort something out then.
Look into AQA, mystery shopping etc.
--- Again, failed miserably. I might put this on the back burner.
Put Egg Money card back in the black when statement arrives on Monday.
--- Committed the fatal "minimum repayment" error. Will rectify it as soon as I get paid (26th).
Next week:
Send letter to Halifax checking my student overdraft will last for 12 months now that I've graduated
Open graduate account at Natwest
Put Egg Money card into credit as soon as I'm paid on Wednesday
Three no-alcohol days
Three no-spend days
Three take-lunch-to-work days
Keep checking Amazon prices
* = I'm having trouble with these no-spend days and would appreciate your thoughts. To avoid clogging up this topic, though, I've set up a separate discussion on it (here).
