Don't forget that the last banking day in the current tax year is :-
THURSDAY 1st APRIL
2nd April is Good Friday bank holiday,
3rd & 4th are a weekend, and
5th April is Easter Monday bank holiday.
Don't get caught out.

OK, so I get paid on 31st March. If I use my debit card to pay into my M&S ISA the remaining bit for this year's allowance that day, but it doesn't arrive until after 5th April, does it count as this year because I made the instruction in this tax year? Would this be specific to M&S or a general answer?0
-
If the cash actually hits the account after 5th April, I suspect that it would count as a 2010/11 subscription, irrespective of when the instruction is given.0

I agree with Baldur. I would say your best bet is to use FPS transfer if your bank participates.

It doesn't to that value of transaction, and M&S doesn't seem to have account numbers to transfer to anyway.0

I suspect if you deposit by debit card, similar to Egg, it will get credited straight away.0
