How to backup contacts on SD card on HTC Hero
I have recently got HTC Hero thanks to orange retentions. I am trying to find out if there is a way that I can backup the cntacts on the phone to SD card.
Or is it that the contacts automatically go to SD card... but that may not be true as the phone functions without an SD card as well.
I have played arround the phone n read all the manual n looked on the internet as well but cannot find it.
Thanks a ton for looking

Sync it with Google Contacts, that's about as backed up as you can get.0

You can't backup the contacts to either a memory card or the sim, as Rusty says the only thing you can do is sync them to Google Contacts0

You can get an App from the marketplace that will allow you to backup your contacts to SD. one is MyBackup, but costs about a fiver after the trial period is over. no iidea how good it is, never used it myself.
One potential problem with just relying on the Google sync is that if you somehow deleted your google contacts on the phone, the sync would delete them from google (though would be easy enough to trawl and get back).
personally, I don't sync my Google Contacts but use Exchange/Outlook instead for contacts, but same difference, so pointless telling you that :rotfl:0
