Court grants charging order on our property to Llloyds

Last month I asked for advice regarding a problem we were having with Lloyds TSB wanting to put a charging order on our property (thread here).
We fought tooth & nail & said we'd never agree to it, but the court has granted it to Lloyds anyway

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

I'm confussed, ok, so you didn't want the debt secured on your property, but surely as long as you make repayments on the debt then there isn't a problem!

  • We have been making regular payments of around £60 a month which Lloyds have been accepting for the last 10 months. Few months ago Mr Embers (debt is all in his name) got a letter from Lloyds sayind they were taking him to court to get a CCJ - we had no prior warning of this whatsoever. We have applied for a variation as Lloyds want us to pay £250 per month!
We received a letter for TLT solicitors saying that they were aware that we had applied for the variation order (to lower the monthly amount) and if we paid £250 to Lloyds within 7 day and agreed to a charging order they would consider our offer!
So we said no way jose and they got the charging order anyway.
