making gifts is an excellent moneysaving option  i sometimes do cross stitch samplers, but you have to be mega organised, as they take ages!!
i think they have a christmas thread in OS, which is all about organising/moneysaving in advance
pigsback/lightspeed etc are ace too for getting vouchersI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Not strictly free, but I personally like to keep an eye out for when stores such as Empire Stores, La Redoute, Littlewoods are offering good money off discounts. You can pick up presents here and there for little to no money, especially if you manage to time it with a sale. It soon adds up. I've already got a bunch stashed away from Empire Stores' last sale and I don't think I paid more than a few quid for the lot.0

https://www.norad.co.uk on the left hand side you will see the option to track santa and see where he is now. Great for xmas eve keep the kids happy and truly a freebie. I have over half my xmas shopping done and it's under the bed or boxed up and the rest is coming from boots with points. Well done on being organised.0

im a student so im always short of money:eek: so this year for my grandmothers i have gone 2 asda and got really nice bamboo photo frames £3.50 each :T and i am going 2 put a photo of my graduation in then and i will then decorate the frame myself. family often appreciate home made presents more than shop bought because it means that you have though about what they would like rather than just buying them something. i also always make cards which again r quite cheap 2 do but people seem 2 really like them.:beer:0
