How much extra have you made in 2009?

Although the year isn't over yet, I thought it'd be a good idea to see how well people have done with upping their incomes this year.

I started using this forum in January this year and I think I have done quite well but I'd love to know how well other people have done.

Here's my 2009 extra income:

Parkatmyhouse.com: £60
Lightspeed Panel: £30
Toluna: £30
Triviala: £45
Ebay: £65
Non-ebay selling stuff: £120
Reclaiming over paid bills etc: £90 (approx.)

Total: £440

Of course, this doesn't include the money that I have saved from using free samples, freecycle and clothes and book swapping websites.

How about other people?

    Hi Piggles,
You have now given my enough evidence that making more money can be done! :)
I've only really started doing avon toward the end of the year and haven't looked at doing much else so my new year's aim will be to make that work and look at other ways to earn money for the coffers :) oh, and save as much as I can as well through the freebies section and the sales before the VAT goes back to normal.
    WELL DONE YOU! :D
    Rather inspiring I must say....

I don't make any "extra", all my income is my only income. It's all doing various things online. It's difficult to say as my spreadsheet's in $s and £s and works on tax years, not actual years, but a quick scan through (might have missed some stuff) is:

    Home Typing: £4,000
    Google Adsense: £12,000
    Article Writing: £1,000
    Misc Affiliate Programmes: £4,000
    Surveys: £2,000

Cashflow wise though, it's been diminishing, so most of that was stacked in the first part of the year.

Wow! I didn't think my moneysaving was inspiring- I'm really touched Samantha. :o

I really hope 2010 is a good year for money making for you, and me! Hee hee!

Wow! That's some serious money making pasturesnew! Now that is inspirational. Do you mind me asking how much time you spend on these various activities? I know you said that these were your only income, but do you work 9-5 on them? Or do they need more committment? I hope I'm not being too nosey here.

Well, it's an obsession, although I rarely do any "actual work", to be honest. But I do spend all day, 7 days a week (OK, far too much time of that on MSE), looking at what's going on, reading the news, thinking about ideas ... to actually "work", hard actual "work" on it ... probably 4 hours/week.

Nearly everything I do is "do it once, be paid daily/weekly for years". I've a handful of websites, which I rarely update or touch really.

If I actually sat down with a plan and "worked" it, promoted my stuff, improved/built etc etc, then I'm sure I could easily more than double it ... but for some reason I can't get round to doing that. I work in bursts of activity really.

But, as I said, what one could call actual "work", 4 hours/week ... er, if I'm really working ... but not every week (far too lazy!).

I spend my time looking at ways to earn money, avoiding the scams. And I write them up on my sites or blogs for other people. But then I don't promote my sites, so it's just down to my google rankings if anybody turns up and sees it.

I knoooowwww I should "work harder" at this... but there's so much and I get distracted :)

Piggles, I find it inspiring too, going to keep track for 2010 and see if I can get a little extra :)

Only started in June trying to earn a bit extra but so far have made:-

    Mystery Shopping £2600,
    Click Ads £1710,
    Surveys £410 (includes a £250 prize win)
    Lecturing £1200,
Running extra mural classes/workshops £2800 (did three topics close up magic, personal development and public speaking)

In 2010 I intend to put more effort into doing classes. It's easy, just hire a community or church hall talk about something you know and everything else is profit.
I can think of loads of topics cooking/basic car maintenance/internet for OAPs/interviewing and CV skills/ etc etc I am setting a target of £10,000 for next year.

    Hi ScostBob,
You seem to have done really well on mistery shopping and click ads. What click ads can you recommend? The same goes for mistery shopping.

    Cheers,
