  • They are trying to reduce the queues in the branch by stopping these transactions. They want customers to use the ATM's more and internet banking seeing as a lot of things can be done without the need to queue up for ages. This will also give the CSA's more time and have more quality in the queue to pass over to PBA's etc.

Use a cash point machine that dispenses £5.00 notes.

A&L current account holders and Abbey basic bank customers can withdraw money via the Post Office.

Where are these mythical cash point machines that dispense £5 notes cos there certainly aint any round here  oh thats so annoying. It makes me laugh about freeing up the CSA's to do other things... my local branch is always empty and they always seem to be staring into space.... :D

I don't think that is treating customers fairly. If I had £5 in my account, or maybe £4.50 I would expect to be able to go to my branch and get that out.

I'm sure they realise its an inconvenience to there customers. But if they was that bothered they would not go ahead and implement the change.

    Indeed.

Just went to the bank and withdraw £100, and all of the are £5. It's annoying in some way. :o I hope they put more £10 and £20 notes.

    I agree.

I think there should be some exceptions, especially when a customer wants to close the account, and withdraw the small amount of money out.

It would good to have cash machines that let customers withdraw an amount that combines coins and notes.
