My Credit card ISN'T ALLOWING balance transfers? - isnt that odd?

My barclaycard isnt allowing me to do any balance transfers (when i phone them up)
I have a barclaycard, credit card, and have been using it well, often, no problems on it, no Late payments or anything.
I phoned them the other day to pay off another one of my cards, in a balance transfer and they said that there is no option at the moment to do a balance transfer, "no promotional offer on to do one" they said.
then i said can i do a normal one, they said no, it isnt showing that you are allowed to do a balance transfer. I asked why not, they said it is promotional,
which i thought was odd.. as i thought credit cards Always allow you to do balance transfers...and found it odd they are not allowing it?
I rang 2-3 times, the different callers all said the same thing,.
I need to do the transfer, to pay of another card, i didnt tel them the amount to be transfered, they said i cant do one from the start.
-how can i resolve this?
-anybody had this issue with any card of theirs?
-any body had this issue with their barclaycard, or any other barclaycard issue?

Have you enrolled in online banking for your Barclaycard?
If you have, you should be able to do the transfer from there.
I have the option when I sign in to my Barclycard account, but the account is brand new. If you check your Ts & Cs, you'll see that Barclaycard reserves the right to refuse a balance transfer from another credit card.
To help you further, we would need to know which credit cards you have at the mo or have held recently.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Forum users recommend credit cards all the time on this board. In terms of 0% duration, Virgin is the current market leader.Are you promoting their card?/suggesting me to apply for it? just wondering.

I have just logged in and there is an offer on my account online of 6.9% for life, perhaps its just certain customers??
it wasnt on there 2 weeks ago...maybe keep trying0
