Ignore list problem?

I'm trying to add an additional user to my ignore list through User CP.
However, whenever I attempt to add the specific user I get the following message:

However, the user is in the member list, but clicking on it doesn't add it to the ignore list; it just opens the user's profile. I've tried copying & pasting the username to ensure it is correct, still no joy. I've even typed the first few letters and then picked the name from the list of options it gives me. no joy
I can add (and delete) other users ok, just not the one I want to add. The user only recently created the new account, if that's of any importance, but that was well over 12 hours ago. The user's account is still active, hence why I want to ignore it.
Any ideas please?
Edit: I've just successfully added (and deleted) a user that only signed up today, so it doesn't appear to be an age of account thing.

Just adding some more information to this issue that may help identify the cause.
It appears any user name that commences with a capital letter are the ones that cannot be added to the ignore list, currently. If a different user with the same user name but beginning with a small letter exists, that is added instead.
Otherwise the message as posted above is given, and no name is added."Now to trolling as a concept. .... If you click on their username there is an option there to add them to your ignore list. I've done it successfully with someone whose username begins with a capital letter.0 -
Thanks for the suggestion HariboJunkie, but it doesn't seem to work, unless I didn't follow correctly what you meant.
The above are all the options I see.
(I'm not wishing to add you to my ignore list - you just happened to have a convienient name to try it with)
Edit: Sorted it. You meant on the user's profile page, there's a link available and it works. Thank you so much :T"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
