Thankfully the offspring are of an age where the free shows from over the roof-tops will suffice & the only fireworks in this house are manufactured from volatile POV:rotfl:So here we go on a further 30 opportunities to prove the TV adverts are nothing more than a good time to put the kettle on & the flyers ideal bedding for the hamster!

We are here to help each other avoid spending for how-ever many days you feel appropriate to your own situation, in order to take back some control over our hard-earned money.
What you class as a 'spend' is entirely your choice; some people will try to shop on the days DD/SO etc are paid, whilst others will not include essentials such as rent. Personally, I count a spend as any time I buy something, as opposed to the unavoidable utility bills & such.

I'm going to try for 17 days this time as with :santa2: prowling around trying to get his sticky fingers in my purse, there's probably going to be a lot of unplanned visits to his grotto! That doesn't sound as pervie as it looks I can promise you :rotfl:It's just No1 offspring usually has a couple of days off & we go to different places--huge Dens of Iniquity like Ocean Village & Crawley--from where me muvva & I frequent.
Mind you, we go to see the lights more than have a spend-up but even if it's only a pair of primarni socks for Uncle Bert, it's still a spend isn't it

October went completely to pot for me so I have to buckle down and make November better.
We're off to Edinburgh for the weekend at the end of the month but the hotel was a wedding gift and the train tickets were bought from wedding funds so its only the extras to think about really. We've decided to pay for a posh meal out on the Saturday night out of the wedding fund (cheques that our lovely guests gave us) but everything else is on us!
Otherwise there's not a lot planned for the month - mum and sister visiting one weekend for Xmas shoppping but they're pretty good with budgets and cash.
So after all of that waffle I'd like to go for 12 NSDs please?0 -
I have completed my 7 NSDs for October.
Just as well because I have a works lunchtime do today and a charity night tomorrow so there goes some spends.
I am really enjoying the discipline this challenge brings and I now have the mindset that every penny not spent is worth twice what I am saving, if you follow the logic. It makes me feel really good.
