Diamond car insurance

Hi there
I recently got a car insurance policy with Diamond Insurance for my Golf GTi 1.8T. They were the cheapest apart from Admiral, the only difference was Diamond said they would consider my 10 year SA license along with my 4 month UK license (didnt exchange licenses in time so had to redo the test in June). And this reduced my quote by some. Turns out when I double checked before making payment, the previous guy i spoke to got it wrong (he thought i exchanged it), they went back and listened to the recording of the call and said they would still give me the insurance at that price first quoted. I also clearly mentioned in the second call that I had tinted windows, and the person I spoke to repeated it back to me, but made no mention of an increase in price. I received my policy agreement in the post, and nowhere did it mention the tinted windows as a modification. I rung them back up today at 14:00, and they said it wasnt included but they would do it then and there, and this has now increased by a further £93 just for the tints!!! I explained that this was not mentioned before I made the payment (I paid it all upfront over the phone). They said they would listen to the recording and get back to me. I phoned them back at 19.00 and they still hadnt done anything about it, and promised to ring me back tonight. Their offices close at 20.00, so Im left waiting, again. Fuming!
So finally, vent over, my question is, am I right in thinking that I was missold this policy and that I should not have to pay this extra £93 when I have mentioned it to them initially and was not told that I would have to pay extra, only now to be told that I do, when it was their error? If I knew it would cost this much more, I might not have gone with them in the first place. I know I could just cancel but if Im in my rights to dispute this, then I would rather do that. Or am I wasting my time?
Thanks for reading

You should wait to see what they have to say for themselves. The fact that they haven't got back to you today speaks volumes and may well work to your advantage if things get messier.
Off the record I've always thought that Diamond were rubbish.0 -
Just an update, Diamond have finally got back to me (after ringing them again today and demanding (politely) that this be sorted today. The manager called to say he listened tothe recording, and conceded that I did mention the windows and their staff were at fault for not putting it on the policy, so they were not gonna charge me the additional £93. That was a good result, but I was charged £51 for a rear boot spoiler which I mentioned after the policy amount was agreed. That was fair enough, so I cancelled the two optional extras, Hire car and Extra Personal injury cover, which more less covered the boot spoiler charge, and the rest they wrote off as a goodwill gesture.
My first experience with Diamond has been a bitter sweet experience, but I will commend them on rectifying the errors they made, which actually has worked out in my favour and saved me quite a few hundred pounds, so cant complain really can I :j0
