Boots bargains

Has the Boots thread been permanently closed as the last I read was a post be Divadee saying it has been referred re abuse? I admit I was never able to post a glitch myself as I never found one, obviously it I did i would definitely have posted it, but recently what with the lost of the Tesco coupon policy and the deterioration of the Pigsback website I find that I am desperately in need of some no spend/low spend help.

With Xmas fast approaching and no doubt Im not the only one in this position, any ideas anyone?

A small group of people (using the term loosely) spoilt it for everyone so the Boots board has gone for good now

Oh well at least they got what they wanted...

We're supposed to post individual bargain buys now, and I too have been wondering whether we could get a thread back just for the sale period.

I picked up on the recent discount off already discounted fragrances thanks to 'Need a break' but I keep missing all the bargains now

Must admit I really miss the Boots thread and I used to love reading about everyone's hauls (nothing like living vicariously ). I really can't understand how it was abused, I know people complained about chat and that it wasn't all grabbits but that was the nice part, people swapped hints and tips and friendships were formed.

I agree, it is hard to imagine how it was abused and if I'd not seen it with my own eyes then I wouldn't be able to understand it myself. Anyone who followed the thread avidly will know what happened and in the end there were so many messages to the abuse team that MSE closed the thread permanently. A lot of it is there still to see, a lot of posts have been deleted though. That's it in a nutshell. I miss the thread as much as everyone else.

Thank you for replying everyone, I really would like to help and find a glitch but have no idea where to start and am not a huge spender in Boots so have not much chance in accidentally finding a glitch- I buy the odd item of makeup, perfume, paracetamol.

A Xmas Boots/glitch thread would be a great idea though, as there have been some many no/little spend deals over the last 12 months, I think we must be missing some now. By the way I have just received a Clubcard letter with points offers today.

Woulld also love a glitch thread and I too am confused about how it can be abused. Was it because people were being nasty or that they were buying things in bulk and re-selling them or some other kind of abuse?

Would love the Boots grabbit thread back. I got the odd glitch but not very good at working out the offers / glitches etc so it was really helpful when others posted what they found to help others out a bit.

Wondering if the MSE team would let us have it back if we asked nicely and play nicely?????
