Are offering a card with 0% on BTs for 12 months (2% fee) and 0% on purchases for 12 months. Here is the link

That seems a pretty good deal to me

With a £50 capped BT fee, this is quite possibly the best card to come out for a long time.

It does seem to have a 'keen' scoring criteria though, according to discussion on the stoozing website here.

Surprising for it to have keen scoring criteria. GE are the ones who have storecards at 30% APR.

Maybe it's because this one reverts to a low 12.9% APR (typical) at the end of the long introductory period?

All the points which come to mind are already covered in the above posted link to stoozing forum. It does indeed appear to line up against Barclaycard on features but can be used for purchases too - to eat up the slightly higher minimum payments. It remains to be seem how the credit limits compare (Barclaycard is restricted to 5K on that rate) and how much harder it is to get one. of course.
    GE card:......................................Barclaycard:
0% 12 months on BTs.................. 0% for 12 months on BTs
(done in first 60 days)...................(done in first 60 days)
    0% 12 months on purchases.........0% 3 months on purchases
    2% (£50 capped) fee.....................2.5% (uncapped) fee
    Minimum payment 3%..................Minimum payment 2%

How long do you think they will hold open the offer? With luck it will be around for another six months at least to allow anyone interested to time an application.

Would imagine probably less - it is a "too good to be true" offer and so probably only do it for a very short while to get the publicity and then replace it with something more standard.

If the Barclaycard is in your name with late payments, then less likely GE would accept you. So yes get hubby to apply and him to sort BT

Just bumping this one back up, because they've increased the BT fee to 2.5% - as of yesterday, Monday 15th May.

Yes, but still capped at £50 - so anyone borrowing more than £2500 would be unaffected.
