Is it possible to cancel my vodafone contract.
Renewed 4 months ago, first bill showed I was getting charged for texts when thy should be free. 4 phone calls and 3 bills with txt charges it transpired my tarrif wasnt available and noone told me thats why they charged for txts. It was put right eventually but have lost faith in vodafone now, can I get out??

probly last contract I'll have. Looks like you got no rights if your not happy.0

you have virtually no chance of getting out the contract. You are well and truly locked into it till the end of your 12/18/24 months0

Never get a contract with mobiles.
My brother got ripped off left, right and center.
At least with 'pay as you go' you are free to use it as you wish, or not.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
There is potential as they have breached the contract by charging you.
You should atleast get all your calls/texts refunded as you renewed to a contract and have already pre-paid for those services. And by billing you again they have made you pay for the same thing twice.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
They moved systems and when people were getting upgraded the new system was taking old what they call SOCS off the tariffs for example free text bundles, Ring and if you were getting them free befor ask them to check your tariff and SOC history and i bet it got took off when you upgraded eventhough they prob wont admit it. :T
But no they wont let you cancel without a early termination fee which is line rental times the remaining contract length0 -

You were not. You are paid to pretend to be, and to try and give Vodafone some good PR to counter balance hundreds of complaints.0 -

I wouldn't bet on it, Kirsty. It does seem, as a neutral observer, that Vodafone's reputation for accuracy and customer services has taken quite a bashing on this forum and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
If you really want to help and restore MSE members' faith in Vodafone, then come on here and tell us precisely what steps your company is taking to sort out the mess that seems to be your back office. Isolated fire fighting specific incidents is, of course, helpful, but what fire prevention are you taking?0 -

Hi robt,
We can appreciate yours and others doubts around our presense on MSE and would like to assure you that we are here to help where we can and have already been successful in getting issues resolved for many other members who've have posted about their experience such as fjharrison71.
We agree that having customers making public instances where things haven't gone well isn't good for any company it's also important to seek out these customers so we can see what's led them to take this sort of action and essentially see what can be done to put things right.
Naturally, we can't guarantee that we'll be able to resolve everything as it's difficult to determine what exactly can be done to resolve a situation without having been able to view the customers account first. However, what we can guarantee is that all reasonable efforts will be made to sort things out.I wouldn't bet on it, Kirsty. Hi Guys Dad,
In a lot cases where members have posted about negative expriences the root cause is largely down to human error which is of course annoying for both the customer and us.
While training, coaching and quality monitoring will help to minimise the errors made it's never going to eradicate them altogether but the important thing for us to do is to put them right as quickly as possible.
As this sometimes doesn't happen as quickly as we'd like it's equally as important for us understand why this is the case to we can try to improve things where we can.
If you're both happy to please feel free to direct customers to us as we're always eager to help customers who're not having the best of experiences with us.
All the best to you both.
