TESCO: 17.99 for new 14" TV (merged)

Update Note 11 May. This telly's now sold out - the next cheapest is £79.99, also with the 1000 points, so following the system below its still a bargain, but not as good.
___________
What's the deal?
A fab chat forum spot. Buy a Toshiba 14" portable TV with Teletext* from Tesco online for £59 and they'll give you an extra 1000 clubcard points plus the usual 59 you would get.
Use these in store and they're worth £10, not bad, but as I always say swap them for Tesco Clubcard Deals vouchers and they're worth four times that.
You can use the Deals vouchers on things like RAC membership, days out, gifts and magazine subscriptions. This means, providing you're spending the vouchers on something you would've bought anyway, you're effectively getting the TV for £18. Bargainous!
This 1.000 points is an offer for any colour TV bought until Sunday 14th. So you needn't stick with this one. However obviously the higher the price of the TV, the less relevant the Clubcards are.
More Details
It's only available online until 14 May. Delivery is free.
For more details on Tesco Clubcard Deals see 'Never Spend Tesco clubcard vouchers in-store!'
What can I use my deals vouchers on?
Some examples:
£7.37 in clubcard vouchers/£32 in deals vouchers = day entrance ticket to Alton Towers.
£2.50 in clubcard vouchers/£10 in deals vouchers = toward Purple Parking (Park & Ride airport service)
£11.85 in clubcard vouchers/£47.40 in deals vouchers = 12 blockbuster rental tokens
£13.75 in clubcard deals/£55 in deals vouchers = RAC roadside cover

Back to the original post....
Not as good as a free TV, but a good bargain for a new 14" TV
Toshiba 14N51B 14'' Portable TV with Teletext - (Silver)
Full Price at TESCO: 59.99 pounds
TESCO has 1000 clubcard bonus points on all TVs until 14th may
Bonus clubcard points: 1000
Normal ClubCard points: 59
= 1059
1059 in clubcard points is 10.50 pounds worth of shopping or 4 times more by getting deals vouchers = 42 pounds of deals
a 59.99 tv becomes 17.99
I hope that is right this time...

A budding entrepreneur.

Welcome to the site. It's an easy mistake to make and you're right, 1000 clubcard points should be worth more than £10!
Keep looking and posting.0 -
Hi danejb92. Thank you for sharing your first post with us. It is great to see that you are switched on to moneysaving. Unfortunately, I think 1000 Tescos vouchers will get you 1000p - as you suggested. But sadly, that is £10 in shopping or £40 in "voucher benefits". I wish it was £100 & £400 respectively or I would be rushing down to Mr. T's as quickly as possible. Its a good way to get £10 off a £50 TV though ... or £40 off in "voucher benefits".
Keep up the moneysaving way of life and you'll be rich by the time your 30.0 -

Please don't let this put you off, happens to the best of us.
Hope you find, and post some bargins soon.0 -
Sorry the post is still wrong - £59.99 getsa you 59 points NOT 599 points.
So total points is - 1059 = £10.50 in CC vouchers.
9 pts rolled over
Changed for Deals = £42.00 in Deals tokens.
Did you know that you can now book your deals online for Tesco?
Your CC vouchers now have a 12 digit alphanumeric code on them allowing you to redeem online rather than posting off.
When you get your statements in about 3 weeks, check out the code and go here....
