Letter from Lloyds/Accucard

in Credit cards
Got a letter this morning telling me that my Accucard with 0.5% cashback is being withdrawn and replaced with a Lloyds TSB card with no cashback.
Accucard was part of the Lloyds Create cards. Are Lloyds withdrawing all of these I wonder? It's seeming harder and harder to find credit cards with cashback, although I'm growing out of that now and stoozing instead.
I think I should close this account as I will be given a new credit card and that might look like I've opened a new account which will lower my credit rating, I already have three credit cards.

I stopped using my Accucard about 6 months ago when Egg Money came out with a far better 1% cashback, so no great loss.0
-
Had stopped using Accucard anyway - so I called up to cancel their offer of a replacement LTSB plat card , as by taking this direct replacement means none of teh initial promotion offersAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Wonder what will become of my https://www.morethancard.com (powered by Accucard)?
Maybe Royal and Sun Alliance will keep this. My card is still paying 0.80% cashback (interest rate is over 30%, but bill paid in full every month so the interest rate could be 1,000,000,000% for all I care).0 -
I had the same letter in relation to my Create Card, they're switching the card to a Platinum Card with no cashback0

They do have a rewards card issued as an American Express card. You get points for every £ you spend which can be exchanged for high street vouchers.0

I'd advise anyone affected by this to initially take the new card and keep the account open for a couple of months. I asked accucard what they would do about the cashback earned so far this year on the Accucard when it moves to Lloyds platinum. Here's what they said:
"Please be advised Cashback is not available on the Lloyds TSB platinum Credit Card. If you have outstanding Cashback on your existing card this will be paid on all transactions up to and including those transactions that appear on your last existing credit card statement dated on or after 24 May 2006. The final Cashback payment will be credited to your new Lloyds TSB Platinum Credit Card account by 30 June 2006."
So keep it until the cashback gets paid in. I wasn't due to receive any until next Feb so I'm getting it early anyway.0
