Loads of questions.....

1) How on earth would I post deer antlers if I ebayed them, to ensure they arrived in one piece and not snapped or bits broken off?

Car Boot q's now...

2) If I sell 3 Action men and an Action man dog (Raid...I think  ) and various 'bits' ....guns & things...........how much should I ask for them if I were selling at a car boot?

3) Ditto for Batman stuff........4 Batmen & bits.

4) Batmobile......separate or in with the Batman stuff?

5) Can I sell my lawnmower & strimmer or not, as they are electric?

6) Baby toys.....jigsaws & wooden 'lift out jigsaw' set things....best sold individually or in a job lot?

I hate this.....this is not fun. I don't want to give things away as I'm trying to raise cash but I don't want to come home with them either.

This is the second time I've asked you lot for selling advice........I never made it to the sale last time. :rotfl:

    1. I wouldn't chance it! Collection is the only way to go to make sure this thing doesn't happen. Unless you have a huge massive box, pad the antlers, pad the box, then pad it again, a little more padding....you get the jist lol

    2. I'd probably ask for a fiver. People will haggle anyway, but at boot sales stuff like that is 10 a penny so you don't get a lot for them.

    3. £3/£3.50? People will haggle again so be prepared to only get 1 or 2 pound.

    4. On it's own I'd say. Kids might already have the figures and bits and just want the batmobile to go with it all.

    5. I've seen electrical stuff like this for sale at plenty of boot sales. Just try your luck :)

    6. Individually. There might be mums with not a lot of money who could only afford one or 2 items and not a 'lot' of them.

The above are all just what I'd do and just some ideas, hopefully you'll get some more ideas from other posters :)

Thanks v. much for taking the time to reply. :) Your answers are kinda what I thought, but it's good to get other people's input just to confirm I wasn't way off the mark, lol.

As for the antlers, I think they would get more interest from outwith our local area tbh, which unfortunately means posting them. :undecided

I guess I must be pretty stupid or something but why would someone want deer antlers? sorry for my stupidity.

Best thing to do is leave them attached to the stag and make it walk to the buyer's house. That'll give em a shock..lol

Also you could try sending them by special delivery but that might work out a bit DEER..lol

Just to say - most baby toys get sold for 50p each or £1 each, but the wooden 'lift-ou-jigsaws' can be sold for a bit more as they are quire expensive to buy.

re Antlers: does the stag know you've got them? Seriously if you have time you could put buyer collect and offer local delivery within how many miles you are prepared to travel (if you have time/can be bothered). Then ask buyers to email you for delivery costs. Work it out at so much per mile. I'm doing this with something of mine that's too heavy to post and not worth enough to courier. (Tho maybe antlers are very expensive? (as long as thery're not poached, ha ha).
    Stop looking for answers....

Yes, you could deliver them yourself....especially if the buyer comes from abroad. Try working that out per mile....

I think delivering it yourself would be infinitely preferable to the embarrassment of handing a set of antlers over the post office counter.....
