Thinking of booking on flypamzee.com at short notice?

Options
Just to quickly share this with you if you are thinking of booking air tickets through flypamzee.com.

Flypamzee are a London-based travel agent with internet booking facilities. They sometimes come up with reasonable prices in screenscrapers. However, presumably due to their size, they do not work on Sundays and have somewhat restricted hours weekdays and Saturdays.

I booked a ticket through their website Saturday night for travel on Sunday night. At check-in, I was told that although I had a confirmation including the Amadeus booking code no e-ticket had been issued since they had not paid the airline. My only choice was to buy a considerably more expensive ticket at the airport as I needed to travel.

This is the first (and for me more than likely last) time I have used them and they may otherwise be perfectly o.k. I also grant that their confirmation said re-confirmation and e-ticket would be e-mailed within 48 hours. However, if they accept a booking for the next day I think it is reasonable to expect that they deal with the matter in a timely manner.

Just be aware that there may be issues when booking tickets through them for travel at short notice.

Happy flying and always aim for an equal number of take-offs and landings ... ;)
