Rental Only Car Hire USA

Hi Guys
This is my first post on this site and am hoping to find some help here. Google has not been my friend today. I travel to the States at least once a year, normally to LA stay a couple of days with friends and then drive to Vegas for 10 days then back to LA for a week. I discovered the joys of independant car hire insurance years ago. It has saved me an absolute fortune. My annual policy is with Questor and costs around £115. I used to be able to get RENTAL ONLY car hire through Alamo via Funway Holidays until about 5 years ago when they stopped doing iit. I then found that Dollar via Virgin Holidays filled my needs. However they have now stopped doing it as well and will only do it as part of a fly-drive. Now this is a pretty good deal with 19 days hire (RENTAL ONLY) for a full size two door comes in at about £110. This means my car will cost £225 + about $35 in taxes payable locally. Now you can see why I go down this route. My problem is that I don't particularly want to fly Beardy Airways.
So my question is where in the name of Zeus's butthole can I book a RENTAL ONLY car from the UK?
Thanks in advance for any help.

dollar.com is what I use.
Every other US rental company I ever tried screwed you into paying full insurance waivers if you indicated you were coming from outside the US.
I'm American and have a US credit card with primary rental car coverage - so I don't need the insurance waivers...have used dollar.com for years without any issues at all.
At the moment though - car rental rates in the US are through the roof - for our next trip, it was only about £20 more expensive (once price converted from USD) to take a fully-inclusive rental than it was to take dollar.com and count on my CC for insurance if needed...so I went all inclusive...because for £20 knowing anything could happen to the car and I'd just hand back the keys was worth it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Thanks for the reply
Went onto Dollar.com earlier today, I'm a DollarExpress member, A full size 2 door came in at $551.27 Rental Only, thats about £350 which is over 3 times what I would otherwise pay. This is a total non starter.0 -
like I said - at present US rental rates are through the roof...and we ended up going inclusive as a result.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

If you are american, have a US C.C and want a US car hire than why not book directly with US site instead!
Might be your best option since most US cire hire offer the option of not taking the insurance?

That was me replying, not the OP.
Most US sites will force the insurance waivers if you indicate you reside outside the US.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
