in Credit cards
Martin I have heard a lot recently about getting credit card debt written off if it was taken out prior to 2007 and seen a lot of companies advertising this. These companies are charging quite a high fee for their service, I was wondering if there is any way an individual could do this them selves. If so is there anywhere I can get details and the best information, I naturally want to make sure I have all the correct information before I consider tackling this myself.

    Dear Blar,

    In this country we have things called principles. When you borrrow money and spend it you should subsequently repay it. Not look for dodgy loopholes to avoid doing so.

    Please get your sky cut off and sell that brand new BMW and repay your debt. Getting a job may help.

    Contact your bank and explain the facts - they will most likely help out.

    PPI and critical illness cover are insurances you can take out to cover against such an event as yours. Did you take them out?
