Fuel prices

Options
I may be repeatin another thread but isnt it shcokin fuel prices slowly rising even when oil prices are down and that we are just paying what oil companys want us to pay ? Isnt it time something was done £1 for fuel again when price are at 50 dollars a barrell and were paying more because the tankers arent delivering until prices rise.

A country thats renound for complaining has everyone turned a blind eye sounds petty I know but its shocking.

It's actually at $70 now. I've said it in another thread - what goes up, comes down, unless its fuel prices. But hey, consumers have no voice, or so it seems, because fuel prices are still going up. In my area, they've reached the levels they were last year, when oil was $150 a barrel.

    IMHO blame Winky and Darling.

They put up the tax by 4p (2p in Dec, 2p in Apr) and messed up the fx rate so we have to pay more as the pound isn't worth $2 anymore...

Its an utter disgrace, another reason why this countrys gone to the dogs!

We get fleeced left, right and centre, no wonder retailers call the Uk treasure island!!!

Whats the government doing about it - nowt! and they wonder why they did so badly in the recent elections!

They will be in for a big shock when a general election is called.

No wonder the Bnp got in, Brown is so self consumed in protecting his own interests that the country can go to hell.

Sorry for the rant! but its p***es me off everytime i fill up!

At one time petrol was significantly more expensive than diesel; perhaps we are going back to those days again. Crude oil is now double the price it was in January, and our wonderful caring government stung us for another 2p a litre tax rise in April, with yet another increase to come in September.

I have been driving for nearly 5 years (I know not long lol) when i started petrol was 69.9 now its over 101.9. I used to be able to fuel up £5 a day for college, I would dread now if i was in college. Luckly i sold my 2.0 Petrol Vecta last week and i got a Pug 206 2.0 HDI. I have saved a lot of money fuel wise. If i fill the tank (about £50) i can travel a lot further than in my old petrol car. I am waiting for Diesel prices to go up.
  • As said before prices are between 99.9 and 1.04.9 <---- That being BP garages.

As for petrol being higher than diesel Im sure it costs more to produce petrol than diesel so it would make sence for petrol to be higher than diesel but no where near the levels it is creeping back up to.
