How to add ITV HD to your Sky HD Box

I thought i'd do a quick post as this might start to come often.

ITV HD is currently a freesat exclusive channel available on selected programmes via the red button.

If you have a Sky HD box with the new program guide (EPG) you can add the channel manually to work around this issue.

Its a bit of a faff but better than nothing.

You cannot use the Sky+ recording functions and you get no program data.

It does not appear in your program guide.

There are details on www.itv.com/hd for what upcoming programmes are in HD.

It may be permanent or ITV may make changes in order to "hide" this from Sky HD box users at some point.

Only users of the new style HD program guide can add this channel. Boxes are being updated at the moment on a controlled model by model rollout.
