Best deal for foreign calls +Texts

The fact shes already got a Portugese SIM card is great. That means she won't be charged when you call her on that SIM, unlike if she used a UK SIM card in Portugal (roaming). So the only problem now is how cheaply can you call a Portuguese mobile number.

Also sometimes there are special tariffs for using your mobile phone for calling international mobiles. These might work out better for you. You could check with your current mobile operator to see if there are any. Of course, needless to say, your daughter should switch to using her UK mobile whenever she visits the UK.

If its long term, avoid mobiles. Use something like skype.

You can either both install it on your computer/laptops and talk for free. Or one of you can get a cheap UK/Portugal subscription for a few pounds a month, and then that person can phone the other person for free. e.g. your daughter can get a UK subscription for her skype account, then she can phone UK landlines for free, only costs a few quid.

10 times cheaper than any mobile solution. + don't forget quidco for 20% off too.
