Get out for walks, pack and picnic. Bike rides. Don't know where you are but get out on the beach. Local parks - go and swing on the swings - not just for kids!!
Local swimming pools - not free, but very very cheap, everyone thinks gyms are expensive, but an adult ticket for my local pool is about £3 or something daft, and the kids go free. Not bad value for money.
Do some cooking, make up some meals for your freezer so you can have good healthy meals quickly and easy on those can't be bothered days. Make soup with all the left over veggies. Make cakes and indulge yourself in a great big chocolate cake for a pound or so.
Route through your house, sort out the crap, and then next weekend go and flog it all at a car boot. Or even just chuck it all out and put it on freecycle.
Sort out the garden, 10 packets of seeds for £1 at my local pound shop. Will lift your mood no end in a few weeks.
Have a BBQ - you don't need to get anything special, just bbq the stuff in your fridge/freezer, invite the neighbours around and get everyone to bring their own drink, and something to eat.0 -
Relax in the garden with a bottle of wine and some music... it's a gorgeous day outside here. We're having a BBQ later.
Plant some flowers/veg? Not really recommended if you're as green fingered (not!) as me though
Go for a walk/bike ride?
Visit any free to get into museums? Get yourself cultured for free
Do you have a beach near you? Go play in the sea. If you don't, and it's raining, go jump in the puddles
Have a lovely day x0 -

Hi
My suggestions are:-- Invite your mates over for a coffee and catch up
- Get out the board games or cards
- Get out walking - or take a picnic tea to a local beauty spot
- Plant something in a pot
- Sort out Photos, toiletries, store cupboards
- Make a freezer inventory and join us on the freezer challenge
- Borrow a dog and walk it
- Borrow a bike and go for a cycle ride
- Go to the park, free museum if nearby
- Borrow a DVD from a mate
- Read a book sitting in the garden

When skint, IF the weather's bad, I usually catch up on sewing, mending, knitting, crochet.
If it's a lovely day take the dog for a walk. If you haven't got one, borrow one from a neighbour. An elderly person may be glad to have their animal walked.
How about volunteering at your local animal rescue centre - they often need dog-walkers/befrienders.
If you enjoy gardening, then have a go your own garden or offer to tidy one for an elderly neighbour.
If you regularly have time on your hands at weekends, check out with the local voluntary services to see which ones need people especially at weekends. You might find something that you're already interested in, or even find a new interest. These things always work two ways.

I normally will take the kids to the park then maybe have a friend over in the afternoon for coffee. In the evening I watch CSI (or other similar US drama) with a glass of wine (or water if I'm really skint)!Taking baby-steps :beer:0
