    Hi dirtyfist

Fix Online is a new product launched today.

It is an online tariff for dual fuel or electricity only customers.

Prices are the same as our standard rates after the decrease but with an extra Fix Online discount. Discounts vary regionally.

Discounts and prices are fixed until 1 June 2010.

This is a fixed term contract with a cancellation fee if customers break the terms of the contract. Cancellation fees are £30 for dual fuel and £10 for electricity only.

It is similar to Energy Online Extra Saver (version 13) but is a product in its own right. Energy Online Extra Saver (version 13) is still available.

Like all our online products customers need to pay with a Fixed Direct Debit and register with our website to be eligible for this new product.

More details are available on our website.

Hope this helps but if you have any further questions please ask. :)

How come this new tariff isn't showing online for me when I click quote and switch? I am on EnergyOnline Extra Saver 13 and the only other option showing is a tariff that tracks British Gas.
    Quidco: Paid £2,244.90 :D
    TCB: Paid £342.82

    Hi AngelaUK

Have just checked our general website and the tariff is on there. It is listed through the Quote and Switch tool.

It is also listed on the Switch Now option for customers registered with our website. This may be the easiest way in for you AngelaUk as you already have an online product.

If you are still unable to find it please give us a call on 0845 301 5933. This is the number of the team who handle our website queries.

    Hope this helps.

As I am about to come to the end of the V5 tariff and shocked to hear that V13 would be more expensive due to a reduced discount would this tariff have the same regional discount PLUS the mentioned Fix Online discount applied? In theory being cheaper than V13? The risk of course is that energy prices drop :rotfl: and I have to pay a penalty to escape this contract.

    Hi mvan

The new Fix Online discounts are generally different from our other online discounts.

Your discount will depend on the region you are in. If you give us a call or post on here with this information we can tell you what your discount rate will be.

Why do eon not publish these discounts for all to see the differences between regions, we are after all your customers. Some transparent pricing would be welcome. Why should I pay several % difference for the same tariff to someone in the next town?

I have to agree, it's confusion marketing of the most invidious kind. I suppose it's E.on's version of the NHS' postocode lottery...

All suppliers vary their prices regionally - nothing to do with Eon. But they should be more transparent - I presume their reluctance is that a list of discounts is plainer and more stark than a list of differences of fractions of a penny per kWh.
