How can i incoperate Red into the theme?

I was originally going for a black and white theme, but after much umming and erring, we decided to have red aswell but not alot.

Any ideas how i can incorperate red into the theme?

We are having 2 best men, and they are buying their own suits, so hubby 2 be said something about a red sash?? :S

My bouquet is going to be black and white roses.
And the bridesmaids are wearing black dresses.
Pageboys are going to wear little black suits and my dress will be white

Red ties?

A few redflowers?

Red sashes for the girls / ribbon style belts

Red table clothes

Red balloons

Sorry to be boring and I know each to their own, but I was always told black at a wedding on women was unlucky, do you really want bridesmaids in black?.

Well the dresses wont be completly black.
They are picking there own ones from shops like next, topshop etc.
As long as they have some black on them its ok

My bridesmaids are in black - I don't think it's unlucky - just chic! LOL

I'd go for red cravats/hankies for the men and maybe some red table confetti too - just to add a splash of colour. My colour theme is mainly black and white but with hot pink gerberas and a bit of silver to mix it up.

how about red waistcoats or ties + hankerchiefs , and how about binding your flowers in red ribbon , with maybe a few red crystal/beads in your flowers too , and for bridesmaids same with there flowers ie bind the stems in red ribbon and have red organza wraps around there shoulders ,
im having black bridesmaids with orange wraps and orange flowers and they look stunning x

Pack it in!!! How can you say each to their own and then say "do you really want bridesmaid in black" . Black is stunning, is very striking in photos too.

How about red cravats or a hint of red in the flowers maybe. Loads of possibilities to add an accent colour when you've black and white as a base.

yeh i agree my bridesmaids are in black and i have 5 of them in black and my 2 daughters in orange and they look stunning , i think its good that ppl are being different with there wedding colours now , i love the vibrant colours but also love the pale colours too i think every wedding is gorgeous xx

Red ties or cravats and maybe waistcoats for some of the men and boys.
Red stones in the jewellery,a few garnets mixed with seed pearls or diamonte is lovely.A red ribbon on a simple wrist corsage for the younger ones and a deep velvety red grand prix rose as a corsage for the ladies.Red shoes?Red votives as table decos.
Mainly black and white with the tiniest touches of red is stunning.I saw a blog a while ago with this colour scheme but I cant find it now.The theme was 'classic black and white fused by passion(red)'It was all black and white damask.There were red glasses on the table,red roses and a thin red ribbon on the black and white stationery.That was it,and it was stunning.
The best red flowers I have seen are either grand prix roses or gerbs.Double headed dahlias are stunning too as are chrysanthymums and you get some very large ones which would make perfecxt centre pieces on their own.

I think it would be really effective to mix the flowers up slightly and add some red in there. Some red diamantes in your flowers and having them wrapped in red would look stunning. When we got married I had roses for me but fuschia pink gerberas for the bridesmaids and it looked so effective. If you had red gerberas for the bridesmaids you could wrap them in black and white ribbon, maybe stud them with some black diamantes, it would look amazing. Maybe something red in the bridesmaid's hair would be lovely too? And even red shoes? Mine had pink diamante hair slides (all different but same colours) and pink shoes.

hahaha.. my theme is red,black and white to!!

red balloons, table clothes,napkins,candles,roses,streemers,place cards, ribbion for the bouquet stem ect ect...
red ties, white ties ect.. shoes.. loads of things.. suttle hints of the colour will set it off nicely!

Just thought I'd show you our gerberas i mentioned before. They worked really well with the roses (I'll post another pic showing them together if I can) and I think they'rw lovely for younger ones. The pic also shows how we used our colour theme to make the bridesmaids dresses different but co-ordinated.
