Download Cosmo, Zest, Esquire, Company, Men's Health, She and more mags for free!
Updated 14 April 2009
What's it about?
The Telegraph is giving away three free copies of a magazine of your choice to download digitally. These are the same as what you'd buy in the shops, where their prices range between £2 and £4.90 each. Here's the full list:
Cosmopolitan
Cosmo Bride
Harper's Bazaar
She
Prima
Zest
Esquire
Company
Prima Baby
You and Your Wedding
Good Housekeeping
Country Living
Men's Health
Coast
Runner's World
House Beautiful
You'll need to download a special viewer to read them but it's free. Though depending on your internet speed it can take a while to download each magazine, so bear that in mind.
How do I get them?
Simply go to Magazinesondemand and pick up to three mags of your choice by clicking on each, selecting "single issues". You can only get this month's magazines (ie what ever is there at the time you sign up). You can't sign up for one now, and then get another tomorrow as the promotion code can only be used once.
When going through the online checkout enter the free code "3FREEMAG". You won't need to enter any card details. The confirmation page will provide a link to download the special 'Delivery Manager' software you'll need to install, which is basically a fancy way of browsing the magazines and getting them onto your computer.
Once you've got the copies you can read them whenever you like, plus move them to another computer, or send them to a friend via email or a USB memory key. Or you could print them; but they're pretty lengthy mags so it'd be much more environmentally friendly to just print the relevant articles.
The offer ends 31 May 2009.
What's that about The Lady magazine?
The Telegraph's also offering four free printed copies of weekly magazine The Lady. To get them just fill in the form online form on the Telegraph website or call 0800 917 0006 for free.
Anything else?
There's no obligation to buy any more magazines after you've downloaded them, though if you want to, each costs the same as it would on the news-stands. Read the Magazine Offers thread for more ways to get cheap and free glossies.
1. You must register and provide a valid email address
2. No obligation to purchase further magazines on registration
3. The offer can only be used once.
Many thanks to MoneySaver westywoo for the top spot. This post has been inserted into the top of the original thread to provide a fully researched explanation of how to do it

Mine have all downloaded,I can see them in my documents, but when I go to open them, and choose the format(leaving as default MS windows)it is all encrypted? Any ideas?(sorry if it is a stupid question!!)
Hi poet123 - have you downloaded the Delivery software? You have to download this to be able to read the magazines. For copyright reasons they are encrypted files so can not just be opened and viewed through my documents. You can download the Delivery reader software via a link on the order confirmation page.
If you have already downloaded the software you will find it in Start > programs > Delivery or as a blue and white icon in your task bar or your desktop. If your magazines have already downloaded you will see them to read in your library here.
Yes,all the titles are there, but when I try to open any of them they come up as a series of xxxyyyyy all over the page. the delivery software is in place.
poet123 - are you trying to view them from the Delivery Reader or by clicking on the file in my documents > my delivery documents?
If you go to Delivery Reader and click library - can you see the magazine covers there?
If the files have downloaded fully then you should see a thumbnail cover which you double click to open fully in the Reader. If this does not work then maybe there was a problem with your download so you might want to go to Delivery Manager > History > select the magazines and click 'download again'. If the file didn't fully download then you should be able to download again and overwrite the original.
Hi all, worked easy for me - now to get rock hard abs courtesy of Mens Health!
Seiously, takes a few mins to set up, but as long as you follow the instructions, was a doddle.
Enjoy freebies all!!!
I'm sure it's been on here before, but worth repeating that there are a few other 'hard copy' magazine bargains including free issues and plenty of 3 for £1 trials. They are offered by a number of magazine wholesalers and they are all listed on sites like www.besthighstreet.com. Current offers include 'The Week', free for 6 weeks, and 'Radio Times' 8 issues for £1.

Reason: add inverted commas
i have downloaded the program but when entering my email and password it keeps coming up with "Error - Connection Failed". Does anyone know why this is or what i need to do?
I picked 4 mags that I wanted & thought I'd be charged for the 4th one - but it came up free also - worth a chance. Got a digital camera mag free as a bonus also.
Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps. Take care over copyright. Use excerpts and links rather than copying long text. This site asserts copyright on all comments posted on the board.
