in Credit cards
Hi
I've had my monument card since November and paid about half of the balance each month. I've just rang to change my payment date and request the full amount to be paid by DD each month
Has anyone had their limit increased and if so, after how long?
Thanks all
Craig

Monument rarely increase credit limits as they're a sub-prime lender and they see the limit they issue in the beginning as a big enough risk as it is.
Plus they've made staff redundant recently, so you're probably lucky to have an account at all.0 -

their application pages was down the whole of March, was it an application made in 2008 (like Nov/Dec?) cos it was headline news they were taking no new customers until the summer, June 14th I think I heard them say......
Just aside, I checked it every day and just checked google cached page and that hasn't changed throughout March.....
When did you actually apply? It can take 3 months to get a card from Monument remember.... cheers2010 - year of the troll

Monument made people redundant around Christmas/New Year 2008 (nice!!) and pretty much the whole of last year it was a case of 'when' rather than 'if' they start getting rid of people.
The lease on their Crawley offices can't have too much longer to run, so I would also say that new customers could still be pretty far down the list right now.
I think that the Monument owners, Compucredit, are probably looking for a change for the better in the economy before they make any further investment in the Monument portfolio. Compucredit is pretty huge in the States but over here, all they have is the tiny, sub-prime credit card brand, Monument, with only around 500,000 customers. I don't think they feature much on the Compucredit radar at the moment.0
