Teddyfone safe phone for kids

Hello

I know this has been discussed on here nd that a lot of people think it totaly unecessary but as mine had never arrived I thought I would give them a call.

Apparantly the delay has been caused by Vodafone not holding up there end of the deal (so the advice line rep said)

The deal now is that you can either choose the phone on the

T-mobile 1 year contract at £5 a month with £20 cashback in 4th month.

No free calls and tarif at
21.5p oer min for cross network calls
8.5p per min for landline calls
12p per text message to ping them(look for them)

or

O2 2 year contract
they say no line rental but there must be minimum of £5.00 of calls ech month i.e. if you make £2.00 of calls they still take £5.00.

No free calls and tarif at
30p per min cross network calls
12p per min landline calls
14p per text

Now I know there are some people that think this an awful idea for young children but I would like to know the opinions of people on the choice between the 2 tarifs.
Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

Slow down speed kills.

    That is awful!!!!!

I'd tell 'em to stick it!!!

Thw hole point of the thing was that it was for use in emergencies, and both of those deals suck.

  • OMG! I thought these things were aimed at young children around 5 years old! They're trying to rip our kids off already!
  • You're right, impy - it sucks!!!

Thanks, mjenn. I've been meaning to contact them myself but never got around to it.
An explanatory letter from the firm would have been in order and not too much to ask IMO.

I actually showed my little 'un the picture and she was really excited as we won't let her have an ordinary mobile at 8 yrs old. Just hope she's forgotten about it as so much time has elapsed.
    I'll catch up tomorrow!
  • How strange. They were recently telling people the delay was due to the fact they were awaiting shipment from abroad!
    PF.
  • Heh - I can get a better deal from E2save, with a much better phone and money back from Quidco. I wouldn't get this deal for my son, as it's a rip off.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
