i'm one of them, got my phone on 26th Jan....though my cashback voucher's supposed to arrive 15-20 days later, i didn't receive anything. upon querying via email this was the reply i got:

"Your cash back vouchers will definitely be sent to you within the next 30 days. Cash back voucher is a new system introduced. So, please give us some time to streamline the process."

anyone ran into the same situation? anyone's actually received his/her vouchers? this also serves as a gentle reminder to those who may have forgotten to chase up on their vouchers

Check that they weren't with the welcome letter.

  • hi freefall, did yours arrive with the welcome letter? cos i've checked and re-checked and there's nothing 2 be found with my welcome letter =(
  • Hi

I am also waiting for the vouchers, and got the same email.

This company seems a bit iffy to me. I think they will try it on and not send the vouchers unless you hassle them. Also I have read of others having hassle with cash back.
  • hmm doesn't sound too good.

think i'll go with e2save, cost a bit more but at least it is a bit more safe.
  • hi iamconfusedagain, where did u read about others having hassle with cashback from mobilerainbow?
  • ive just ordered one of these lg u880 from mobile rainbow, how long have they been offering the cash back deals on any phones , has anyone recieved any cahs back claim forms or cash back , seams a long time to get your first claim back 6 months?, how long do u have to send back the phone and cancel the deal if your not happy
  • Hi

I heard it on the rpoints forum.

They sent their bill recorded delivery (delivery was confirmed by royal mail) and mobile rainbow denied getting the bill. They sound as fishy as a kipper and it is not money I am prepared to lose.

Another thing to check: I did not sign up for the insurance, yet got a letter of confirmation for the insurance with my phone, so make sure you cancel this after the three months free cover is up. It looks like a very poor policy to me
  • hi blaster, u've got a 14day trial...but i think cancellation entails a 20 quid fee
  • ive emailed to ask if they have the lg u880 in black and also when to expect my cash back vouchers heres the response, also tried phoneing them a few times today and no answer.

    Dear Mr. xxxxxxx,

    Thank you for your mail.

We are sorry to inform you that we do not have LG U880 (black) in stock with no due date for it to be back in supply. We have the silver and the pink in storage at the moment.

You can expect the cash back vouchers within 30 days of receiving the phone.

For further assistance, please call us on 0808 160 0027 and we will be glad to assist you.

    Thanks & Regards

  • well, at least they're consistent with their replies concerning this voucher business...

iamconfusedagain: when you ordered your phone didn't the offer page include the line "3 Months' Free Insurance"? i too had the insurance signed up for me....but you can cancel at any time and not just after 3 months; i cancelled mine within 14days.

Also, i read the posts on the rpoints forum and a few more backdated ones....very ominous sounding indeed; but i'm optimistic that time will sort out the current situation. all the best to the rest in the same boat! God bless!
