Old Style Book - What Do You Stash?

Options
Hello - probably like most of us I've got a few sachets of hot choccy in the cupboard that have come into my possession after staying in hotels and a few spare packets of salt and pepper from the chippie etc - what 'thrifty' things do you hang on to when you're out?

Just to start you off I was thinking salt, pepper, sugar, ketchup, serviettes, hot choc sachets etc

What do you hang on to and where from?

Hubby has to stop o/n at hotels on business a lot so all the toiletries, hand soap, shower gel sachets, shampoo end up back here. Also had shoe shining cloths and little sewing kits too.

I pocket unused sauces from places like McD just in case we run out at home or if we're going self catering for a weekend.

In the days when I used to frequent the likes of Maccy D's, I used to keep left over sachets of ketchup. Mr TM laughed his socks off at me, until we were out one day, with a group of friends and they'd bought burgers - but no ketchup. Tra-laaaaa - out of the pockets of the changing bag came enough ketchup for everyone. See, you never know.

When I stayed away on business, I always kept the soap and shampoos and often managed to acquire extra biccies from the cleaning trolley:A

Currently I have a large Quality Street tin full of sample sachets of face creams, shower gels etc. I keep meaning to use them when we go away, but never do, so I'm going to make a start on them soon - I promise :D

Always keep the soap and stuff from hotel bathrooms.

Also. my boss has lots of seminars in hotels. I love herbal/fruit teas and I help myself from the tea/coffee station (when we pay £5 per person I am flammin well taking my share and the share of everyone else that doesn't drink it!!!!!!) Only, of course, once the clients are in the seminar room and not with me - and not all of them!

Pens/pencils and envelopes from hotels, as well as the already mentioned sewing kits. Before we go on hols I would collect sachets of sugar from cafes etc for OH's cuppa!
