I have just been charged £80 on 2 seperate occasions for receiving moile phones texts from 84300. As soon as I open them and read them they charge me £5 per text, what can I do, I didn't know this was happening and cannot seem to get any help to recover my lost money.
Can anyone give me some help or info please...

LOL, you sure you didnt text your postcode for girls in your area?
Sorry, your network operator should be able to advise on who is responsible for the texts so that you can contact them to dispute it, but as usual they will most likely find some excuse like "You ticked a box on some form you returned" or some other cheap excuse. Good luck with this, as sadly most people end up buying a new sim as no one seems to want to help or take responsibility.:money:
If you don't like it, Unlock it!

I have text STOP to the number and haven't received any more texts since, but I just want to get my money back, I am so cross that some one can do that and get away with it, but thanks.0 -
If you are still getting these afteryou have text 'STOP' then I would advise you contact phone pay plus who is the regulatory body for this

Something similar happened to me a few years ago although i did not run up a bill as large as yours it was only to the tune of £15 or so.
I contacted the company sending them and told them that i expect a full refund of the costs or else i will be taking it further, a few days later a cheque came through the post for the full amount!!
Get in touch with them.0 -

I am sorry to inform you that you have been scammed by one of the worse cowboys in the premium rate industry. As long as you have not subscribed to any ringtones, wallpaper or any downloads lately like many of us you have become a victim of the scam known as Unsolicited Reverse Bill Texts/SMS.
Your network will be able to give you details of who has sent the SMS, if you are lucky, but they will not help you in any way in recovering your money. I have found some details of the company who has charged you for the SMS, they are called MBlox, and are well known in the scamming business.
Here are their details, I hope it helps:

* Note: PhonePayPlus are the premium rate industry regulator. They are suppose to police the PRS industry, sadly they are bias towards the PRS companies as they are made up of representatives from the same companies that scam us. They are also funded by the same companies. Hard to believe, I know, but do some research, you will not believe what is going on.

ziotisbabe, I've been in a similar position to you but, fortunately, only scammed out of a fraction of what you've been scammed out of. In my case it was a few quid and took months and literally hours on the phone/typing emails for me to get a refund.
Yes, seriously, it's THAT bad! Your mobile operator (no matter which one you're with) won't give a damn. The regulator of the industry won't get a damn, your local MP and/or police authority.. won't give a damn. And, of course, the scammer as well as the SP ('Service Provider' - in this case mBlox) won't give a damn.
Despite me saying this, DON'T give up! Keep perstering mBlox, keep pestering PhonepayPlus, keep pestering your mobile operator. I'll even help you if you want as I want to see these guys do the right thing and, once and for all, stop this scandalous behaviour! (It's an uphill battle due to the fact that those involved in the industry - ie making money out of it - are also those that regulate it!)0 -
