Username change

Hi

Am I able to change my username at all, or do I need to re-register? I am about to post a thread on what has been proved as a very dodgy company and my username is a bit 'obvious' as they have my address etc

Thanks in advance
L

    Hi loucroft,

You can't change your username but you can re-reg with a different one if you'd prefer.

    Thanks again lorweld

An admin could technically change your username using the administration console but:

    1) The account will still be the same and the posts you just made will show your new name
    2) any posts of yours that have been quoted will still show the old name
    3) Not sure what the policy is here but a lot of forum admins don't do this as it becomes too much work if lots of people constantly change names plus changing of names sometimes confuses other members
