Bradford and Bingley 6% Fixed Rate Monthly Saver (Abbey)

Options
Hi all

Went into Bradford and Bingley yesterday. They have a 6% Fixed Rate Monthly Saver. The cashier said whilst it's an Abbey product, it's only available through Bradford and Bingley and you can save £20 to £250 a month.

Just my luck, there's no Bradford & Bingley in Suffolk doing this
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
  • My local B&B branch said that they'll be getting the material they need to start offering this account on the 11th Feb, so I should try a few days later if I'm interested.
  • I've added a link in the Best Regular Savers thread to this thread.

    What the hell?

Abbey product, but only sold through a selection if B&B branches. Why?!
  • Can you open one of these if you already have one with Abbey?

Let us know if you find out first. Thanks XLR8 :hello:

Possibly linked by virtue of ownership by Satander?
My local branch isn't offering this and it seems that it is mainly available in Northern branches but is thought that it will roll out to other regions shortly (source - staff at Southend branch)

I guess they're promoting the relationship between the Santander's UK brands.

It suggests they Maybe all new Santander/Bradford & Bingley products will be under the "Abbey" name? Maybe all B&B savers will become part of Abbey eventually, as with Kaupthing Edge and ING Direct?

Advertised on bill board outside a local B&B Branch this morning and it seemed available without any problem.
