etfs securities - backed by AIG

it looks as though th paper backed etf's offered by etfs securities are backed by AIG.

does anyone know how secure they are if AIG was to endure more problems or go under ?

  • I mentioned this the other day on this forum and was told the assets are secure, only specialist funds would be owned by the firm itself

    I presume monies would be frozen for a while, lehmans operated alot of etf afaik

    AIG is now virtually nationalised by the US government after the bail-out.
